Our work with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew was singled out for praise in Marketing Week’s Search Marketing Channel Masters category.

It’s another deserved accolade for a great project that has won acclaim and driven outstanding success for one of our favourite clients.

This is why we won

As an exempt charity, Kew qualify for a Google Ad Grant worth up to $10,000 to spend on Google advertising, every month. This great benefit for charities everywhere is often a missed opportunity due to complex account rules and restrictions.

When Anything is Possible came onboard, Kew had little internal expertise and were not maximising their Ad Grant funding.

They also faced challenges from two significant, uncontrollable outside factors. A diminishing UK attraction market – and the reliably unreliable great British climate.

Our mission was:

Increase Kew’s Google Ad Grant budget utilisation, maximise performance, and increase footfall. With the UK weather against us and a declining attraction market, driving new visitors was no easy feat.

Through smart targeting, timing and technology, our strategy optimised Kew’s Google Ad Grant as a single entity. 

Adding weather and travel feeds to location and audience data, we got the right message to the right people at the right times.

And gave Kew their best summer in 260 years.

We also helped our partners at Kew out with over 60 hours of training adding value and upskilling their outstanding team. Now they handle the ongoing management of their Google Ad Grant successfully themselves. 

But that’s not all…

Our unique approach to managing Kew’s Google Ad Grant was a genuine first.

We  paid those learnings forward and built AdMonitor to optimise account performance and maximise funding. We are now taking to the tool to the next level as an offering to help charities and non-profits everywhere.

Aside from the great results, the positive outcomes and continuing benefits,  this project resonates with our whole philosophy.
