We have some truly incredible news to share with you, proving that Anything really is Possible. Our extraordinary friend, Ravi Adelekan, has received the prestigious Pride of Britain – Child of Courage award. The story behind Ravi’s achievement is nothing short of awe-inspiring.
This award not only honours Ravi’s resilience but also shines a light on his remarkable journey. His commitment to his cause has touched our hearts and countless others. His story serves as a powerful reminder of the strength that determination and selflessness can bring.
A Journey of Courage
In November 2022, Ravi shared his biggest dream with our team– to sing for charity and support other children who are bravely confronting the challenging journey of dealing with brain tumours. Joining Ravi on his mission was the easiest decision I ever made. Helping Ravi turn his vision into reality has proved to be one of the most exciting challenges we’ve ever worked on- a whirlwind pro bono project involving the entire team and every craft discipline.
We dreamed up an integrated media strategy supported by bespoke creative, web, and social builds. We reached out to every media platform we could think of to secure donated digital and offline media space to help make Ravi’s dream come true, and the response we received was truly overwhelming.
A Million Dreams, for the World We’re Gonna Make
Ravi’s Dream became a reality in November 2022 as he collaborated with internationally acclaimed stars, including Paloma Faith, Damon Albarn, and Jimmy Somerville amongst others, to record a charity music video for his cover of ‘A Million Dreams’ from The Greatest Showman.
Today, Ravi’s journey continues; the story is far from over. Since going live with his charity single, Ravi and his family have made remarkable strides in their fundraising efforts, raising £87,000 so far. Since the launch of the Ravi’s Dream campaign, Ravi has also hosted events at Soho House and The House of Commons, as well as a star studded Charity Football Match.
In June 2023 Ravi won gold at the More Radio Child of Sussex Awards and continues to receive well earned recognition from near and far for his amazing fundraising efforts.
Ravi’s hope remains unwavering – to fund life changing research into diagnostics and treatment for brain tumours, and make exceptional care accessible to all.
