aip joins trade mission to Cannes Lions Festival

By Lily Robertson,

aip is thrilled to be selected by the IPA and Department for International Trade as 1 of 20 agencies to attend a UK Trade Mission to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, from 17-21 June 2019.

The Mission stems from the UK government teaming up with the British ad industry to run its biggest trade mission yet at the Cannes Lions festival. This is part of the IPA’s wider ‘Creativity Is GREAT’ campaign to reinforce the status of the UK as a centre of advertising excellence pre and post Brexit on the world stage and support the drive to increase exports of our services around the world.

It is a strategy that recognises the current political uncertainties around Brexit, our role in the EU and our trading relationships with countries around the world and takes a positive, proactive approach to work through it for the best outcome.

Cannes itself will involve a packed schedule of networking opportunities, attendance at official and fringe events, and – in partnership with the China Advertising Association – meetings and speaking opportunities with Chinese agencies, media and brand owners.

Anything is Possible’s CEO and co-founder Sam Fenton-Elstone will fly the flag for aip next month in June and is hugely excited to build relationships and expand our network to continue to drive the growth of the business forward. On the trip, he had this to say;

“Over the past 15 years, the UK has won more Lions than any other European country and more per capita than any other country in the world. We are delighted to be bringing Anything is Possible’s disruptive agency model to the biggest advertising and media festival and to meet businesses from all around the world who share our vision to make advertising more engaging, effective and enjoyable.”
